Buyer

Location: North Reading, MA (Onsite)

Contract Type: 12-Month W2 Contract

Hours: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Pay Rate: $22–$28/hour, based on experience

Russell Tobin & Associates is currently seeking a Buyer to support a globally recognized leader in technology and logistics. This organization is known for its fast-paced innovation and expansive global operations. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-impact team driving operational excellence across supply chain and procurement functions.

Position Overview

The Buyer will support the Buying Team in expanding product selection by setting up new vendors and SKUs, managing item data, and ensuring pricing accuracy. The role also involves cross-functional coordination for new product introductions, maintaining content and imagery for product listings, and building effective vendor relationships. The Buyer will serve as a backup to the Control Buyer and contribute to special projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with vendor onboarding and new item setup
• Maintain product cost, retail pricing, catalog content, and imagery
• Manage product launches and coordinate with cross-functional teams
• Support vendor relationship management and communications
• Provide backup support to the Control Buyer as needed
• Contribute to procurement and inventory-related special projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume, global procurement or manufacturing environment
• Experience supporting procurement for new product introduction programs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Familiarity with ERP systems—Oracle EBS or SAP preferred
• Basic knowledge of SQL and data management is a plus
