Job Description

Top tier financial services firm is looking for a strong Derivative Trading Assistant to support the derivative trading desk There will be heavy interaction with senior management, traders and portfolio managers Responsible for trade capture, monitoring risk and executing projects to streamline and enhance current business practices and automate new business initiatives Excel in an extremely fast paced, high volume trading environment to enable the business to expand and grow Required skills include: Strong derivatives product knowledge (ie IRS, CDS, Equities, Equity Options, EM, FX) Middle Office/ Operations experience from a top tier buy or sell side firm Excellent communication skills Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word (or related software), and experience with working in a database Proficiency in VBA, Python and SQL is preferable Excellent analytical and quantitative skills Strong academic background
