Our client in the apparel space is hiring a Director of Finance!

This is an incredible opportunity to execute as a strategic financial leader. This individual will

use their past experience to guide the company toward efficient and effective financial and

operational functions. This individual must be detail-oriented, able to navigate and solve

ambiguous problems, analytical, and strategically inclined.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
• Build and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making and growth initiatives
• Oversee accounting processes, month-end close, and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Implement and optimize systems for financial tracking, inventory cost management, and reporting (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Shopify integrations)
• Monitor key metrics including CAC, LTV, AOV, gross margin, and contribution margin
• Collaborate with founders and department heads on financial strategy, unit economics, and capital efficiency
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and eCommerce-specific financial requirements (e.g., sales tax nexus)
• The above is to be executed as the sole controller

Qualifications:

• CPA required
• 3-5+ years of experience working with startups
• Strong grasp of eCommerce metrics, digital marketing ROI, and inventory/cogs management
• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and financial modeling; experience with ERP/accounting tools
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, data-driven, and hands-on startup environment
• Open to 5 days/week in office
