Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Assistant to support a public agency in Pasadena. This role involves sourcing, ordering, and managing inventory of supplies, equipment, and services. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement or storekeeping, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process standard stock supply requests and ensure next-day delivery
Maintain and update inventory records, including monthly physical counts
Prepare and submit purchase order requisitions
Research and compare vendors to ensure procurement compliance and cost-effectiveness
Coordinate and verify deliveries; report and resolve any discrepancies
Tag and track equipment in the Hardware Asset Management (HAM) system
Support proper documentation and disposal of outdated or non-functioning equipment
Ensure warehouse equipment is maintained and service calls are placed as needed
Serve as back-up support for sourcing and processing purchase orders for special items or services
Qualifications:
Minimum of two year of experience in procurement, storekeeping, or related work equivalent to roles such as Warehouse Worker I or Procurement Aid
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and record-keeping skills
Proficient in inventory management systems and procurement tools
Able to lift up to 15 pounds and meet physical job requirements
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with vendors and internal teams
Schedule: Full-time, Onsite
Duration: 6 months to 1 year contract (Los Angeles County)
Payrate- $28-30hr
