Job Description

ODW Logistics is a people-focused and customer-driven third-party logistics (3PL) provider committed to delivering seamless end-to-end supply chain solutions. POSITION SUMMARY

The General Manager (GM) leads one or more large volume operation(s), which may serve a multi-disciplined customer base or multi-facility operations. This position is responsible for managing and optimizing the P&L for assigned sites through continuous improvement initiatives, effective labor management, associate engagement, customer contract services, productivity, safety, and quality. The GM is accountable for site culture and performance.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maximize productivity, quality and service throughout operations by utilizing best practices for facility layouts, material handling concepts, technological enhancements and measurements
  • Provide senior leadership with information and recommendations to make effective and optimized decisions regarding people, materials, equipment and facilities
  • Build and retain talented teams to maintain accountability for culture and drive initiatives through hands-on interactions with all employees
  • Communicate and champion change, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives across teams
  • Create and report KPIs applicable to the operation, including authorization and publication of monthly operation statement(s) to customers and summarization of ODW’s performance
  • Support Business Development Process in RFP responses and ensure positive customer relationships and services
  • Implement cost effective operational solutions to continuously improve efficiency and enhance service levels and quality
  • Own P&L performance for applicable sites
  • Responsible for site employee engagement through annual survey results, action planning, and committee initiatives
  • All other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • 5-7+ years of management experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, operations or equivalent education/work experience preferred
  • Previous experience with staff development, facility layout, multi-shift operations, project management and inventory management preferred
  • Expert knowledge of warehouse management systems preferred
  • Prior P&L exposure and proven ability to manage it preferred
  • AIB, FDA/ODA/DEA experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools preferred
