Job Title: Front Desk Receptionist (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Plano, TX
Position Summary:
Join a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment as a front desk receptionist supporting multi-site operations. This role requires a resourceful and personable individual who can manage shifting priorities, juggle multiple tasks, and assist in the daily flow of office activities. The ideal candidate will bring a high level of professionalism, initiative, and adaptability, and will thrive in a dynamic, collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact by greeting visitors with a welcoming and polished demeanor
Oversee the general appearance and upkeep of front desk, lobby, breakrooms, and shared office areas
Coordinate inbound and outbound mail, courier services, and package handling
Place and track orders for office supplies, snacks, beverages, and kitchen essentials
Monitor and submit work orders for building-related concerns (e.g., HVAC, lighting, maintenance issues)
Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external vendors (including catering and facilities support)
Field and direct incoming phone calls, take detailed messages, and ensure timely follow-up
Assist with preparing for internal events, meetings, and guest visits
Follow through on open tasks and ensure timely completion with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a receptionist, administrative support, or customer-facing role; background in corporate or professional services settings preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
Proactive, dependable, and professional with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Comfortable handling light physical tasks, such as restocking supplies or moving packages (up to 20 lbs.)
Flexibility to support occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekend events as needed
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required
Position is onsite in Plano, TX
