We’re hiring a Service Technician to oversee our service center and take a hands-on role performing electrical and mechanical service repairs on Minicam products. Our Service Technicians work directly with customers who bring in equipment for repair. You’ll evaluate returned equipment across our product range, diagnose faults, and determine the cause of system or product failures. You’ll then carry out the necessary mechanical and electrical repairs to restore equipment to full functionality. Additionally, you'll be responsible for documenting service jobs, including providing feedback and detailing the parts used during repairs.

As Service Technician, you’ll be responsible for the service center site. This is a varied role that offers opportunities to work on diagnostics and repairs across a wide range of products, while also taking on management responsibilities and engaging with customers daily.

Service Technician Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot issues across all products down to the component level, identifying electrical and mechanical faults
  • Read and interpret schematics/technical drawings; disassemble and reassemble products
  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and servicing on Minicam equipment, including cameras, robotic crawlers, control units, cable reels, and rod re-terminations
  • Communicate with customers both in-person and over the phone, focusing on delivering excellent customer service
  • Provide technical support to customers experiencing equipment issues
  • Log systems into our ERP system and complete job sheets to document work completed, labor hours, and parts used
  • Monitor inventory levels and submit stock order requests as needed
  • Goods-in/goods-out tasks and pick spare parts when required

Management Responsibilities

  • Manage the service center site, including facility-related issues and overall building security and maintenance
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing company standards and complying with legal safety regulations
  • Serve as a key voice to the Senior Leadership Team by providing regular feedback from the service center

Requirements

  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
  • Background in mechanical and/or electrical systems
  • Previous experience in a service department
  • Skilled in soldering, including small components
  • Strong customer service skills
