Role Overview McDonald’s is moving forward our Talent agenda and have an opportunity for a progressive, well grounded Talent professional to join us and lead the design of our Talent approach worldwide. McDonald’s Senior Director, Talent Strategy & Design is a key member of the Global Talent Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Global Talent Lead and providing thought leadership for our Talent strategy and toolkit. The role leads a team which listens closely to our business, shaping and refining effective Talent tools to build our performance and power business transformation and growth. The role is a strategic advisor to the global Senior Leadership Team, accountable for driving the enterprise Talent strategy upskilling leadership in Talent, building the enterprise pipeline and driving employee engagement. This role is ideal for a commercially minded Talent professional who enjoys bringing professional expertise in concept and theory to solve tangible business issues and add value. As the McDonald’s business transforms and grows this role will be central to putting Talent programs and solutions in place which grow our pipeline and build our future. The role will be highly collaborative and require strong influencing, project management and data fluency skills to move the Talent agenda forward. International and intercultural experience and capability will be a strong advantage given the Global remit of the position.Duties

  • Create and drive enterprise Talent strategy and design, consulting across the Enterprise to shape direction and strengthened the Talent pipeline and engagement.
  • Lead strategy across all talent programs including Performance Management Talent Pipelining, Competency modelling, skills & coaching, and Workforce planning and Inclusion
  • Partner with McDonald’s Global Shared Services People Experience team, Talent Leads and People Partners to ensure outstanding deployment and tangible impact. Partner with McDonald’s Global Business Services leadership team within Talent Acquisition and Talent Management to ensure a seamless transition from strategy to delivery under our new transformed organization.
  • Partner effectively with the Global Business Services, Change Management, Organizational Design, Organizational Effectiveness and Total Reward People Solutions teams to ensure an aligned and effective approach to building enterprise Talent capability.
  • Coach and develop the Talent Strategy & Design team for growth and develop our Enterprise capability to develop Talent through strong partnership with our People Partner team and Segment Talent Leads
  • Expertise in adapting Talent strategies to ensure inclusive, universally applicable tools and processes which can operate within office environments and also with restaurants, across different levels of seniority and internationally.
  • Operate from a mindset of continual improvement and entrepreneurship with strong influencing and communication skills to ensure effective adaptation and deployment of tools through the transformation journey.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Business, or Psychology (required)
  • A PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology (preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, and experience in a multinational business environment.
  • Experience and savvy working in SAP or a related Human Capital Management System
  • Deep technical expertise in Talent
  • Experience across Talent Management, Talent Attraction & Workforce Planning (preferred)
  • Experience dealing with international markets and global, matrix organizations
  • Experience delivering Talent solutions at scale, through enterprise transformation and technology, ideally SAP SuccessFactors
  • Experience Upskilling Teams
  • Experience as a senior leader and thought partner to cross-functional teams; comfortable collaborating with senior counterparts (strong written and verbal communications)rong relationship and influencing skills with appropriate assertiveness.
  • Strong executive presence and influence
  • Can navigate and lead within ambiguity
  • Comfortable engaging with C-Suite members and Board of Director exposure
  • International Leadership (preferred)Salary Range
$193,000 to $251,000
