Job Description

Pilgrim Dry Cleaners is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Tailor to join our team in St. Louis Park . The ideal candidate will possess a passion for garment alteration and repair, along with a solid understanding of sewing techniques. In this role, you will be responsible for altering and repairing garments to meet customer specifications while upholding high-quality standards. Your expertise will be crucial in providing exceptional tailoring services within our St. Louis Park location location 2-3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Perform alterations and repairs on garments according to customer requests and specifications.
• Operate sewing machines and related equipment efficiently to achieve precise stitching and finishing.
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their alteration needs and provide expert advice.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring easy access to tools and materials.
• Conduct fittings and mark garments accurately for necessary adjustments to ensure proper fit and client satisfaction.
• Utilize basic math skills for taking measurements and calculating adjustments.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing tailoring inquiries with professionalism and care.

Skills

• Proven proficiency in garment alteration and repair techniques, with knowledge of various fabrics.
• Experience operating sewing machines and other relevant tailoring equipment effectively.
• Strong sewing skills with meticulous attention to detail in stitching and finishing.
• Experience in a customer-facing role is preferred, enabling effective communication with clients.
• Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations related to garment alterations.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and helpful demeanor.

Pay based on experience. As you build sales unlimited pay potential.

Applicants should have at least two years of experience in tailoring, including hems, linings, buttons, zippers, wedding gowns, fittings, etc.
