Field Installation Technician at

Summary:

As our Field Installation Technician , you will play a key hands-on role in installing our monitoring systems at our customers’ facilities in the US, and occasionally in Canada and Mexico. You will become our Installation Road Warrior. This role is responsible for all work being conducted on-site as well as identifying and assisting in the development of project-driven or customer-requested change order needs. On a daily basis, this position will facilitate cable installation logistics.

What You'll Do:

· Effectively review the project scope of work and drawing to understand the scope of work and schedule

· Pull low voltage cable

· Install and test sensors to make sure they work correctly

· Routinely photograph installation progress for record-keeping purposes

· Execute proper in-depth troubleshooting methods

· Test low voltage cabling

· Manage project documentation including daily reports

· Manage materials for assignment of projects

· Interface with Project Manager for scope clarification

· Coordinate with scheduling

· Conduct final job walks and obtains customer sign-off

· Write service reports after every appointment

· Attend project planning meetings as required

· Travel throughout Canada, the US and Mexico up to 50% for installations

Minimum Qualifications:

· 3+ years of experience with commercial residential and structure cable

· Experience working with low voltage devices and wiring

· Experience pulling cable, striping, and terminating cables, some soldering

· Experience with powered and hand tools

· Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and one-year driving experience with clean driving record

· Able to travel throughout Canada, the US and Mexico up to 50% for installations

· Able to climb ladders up to 6 feet

· Able to carry up to 50 lb.

· Able to work on-site in our office in San Diego, CA 92121 when not at a customer site

· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

· Reliable transportation

· Commitment to Customer Service

Ideal Qualifications:

· Associate degree in Engineering, Technology or related from an accredited college is a plus

Pay Range: $25 to $35 per hour based on experience and qualifications plus overtime as approved.
