Job Title: HR Generalist

Location: Dania, FL (Onsite)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports to: Head of HR

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. This role will have a strong focus on recruiting and leave of absence/health leave programs , while also supporting a broad range of HR functions including employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and HR policy implementation. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional service to both employees and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for various roles across departments.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and effective sourcing strategies.
  • Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and support hiring decisions.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.
  • Maintain and optimize the applicant tracking system (ATS); generate recruiting reports and metrics.
  • Contribute to employer branding and diversity hiring initiatives.

Leave of Absence & Health Leave Administration

  • Administer and coordinate all leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA, parental leave, personal medical leave, and related accommodations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employees and managers throughout the leave process.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave regulations.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders to track and manage leave cases accurately.
  • Educate managers and employees on leave policies and procedures.

General HR Support

  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support employee relations by helping to address workplace concerns with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition experience.
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system.
  • Support compliance initiatives, including audits, training, and policy documentation.
  • Participate in HR projects related to performance management, engagement, DEI, and process improvement.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
  • Demonstrated experience in both recruiting and leave administration.
  • Solid understanding of employment and leave laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEOC).
  • Proficient in HRIS and ATS platforms (e.g., Workday, UKG, ADP).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and empathy.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred but not required.
