Title: Simulation/Process Engineer

Brief

You'll be in the Powertrain Systems Group, dazzling customers and coworkers with your RoboGuide skills! Bask in the responsibility of being the central point for technical issues related to mechanical, pneumatic, and process engineering. Design systems with safety in mind and close attention to detail. This is a contract to perm opening with Delta Staffing, a preferred supplier to Fanuc America.

What You’ll Do

• Attend internal & customer project kick-off meetings and provide technical expertise
• Develop and maintain a detailed project technical plan and engineering task list
• Generate written specifications detailing system functionality: Robot Reach, Payload, Inertia, Cycle-time, & tolerance studies; Mechanical &Pneumatic component sizing; Develop system Sequence-of-Operations.
• Lead the Robot Safety Risk Assessment team for assigned projects
• Create or oversee 3D concept modeling and simulation (RoboGuide, AutoCad, and Solidworks)
• Monitor progress of all inside and outside designs and builds
• All the other fun engineering stuff required to deliver world-class automation systems!

What you bring to the table:

• Strong mechanical system knowledge, technical problem-solving skill, and ability to work in a team
• Must be organized and able to manage multiple tasks with a maniacal supervisor screaming at you all the time (Just Kidding! The boss is a great guy :-)
• Knowledge of what these terms mean and experience with them: ISO-9000, QS-9000, & TE Supplement quality systems, Reliability & Maintainability techniques such as FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, MTTR, MTBF, Availability, OEE, etc.
• Software: RoboGuide (or other simulation program), Solidworks, AutoCad, MS Office, Solitaire
• Education: BS Engineering or school of hard knocks, either is acceptable
